Teddy Santis has long held a deep appreciation for New Balance: first of all, as a longstanding fan and wearer of the brand, and secondly, through his many lauded collaborations under his label Aimé Leon Dore, where he has spotlighted a vast array of sneakers from New Balance’s iconic lineup.

A trio of 990s takes centre stage in the collection, with the V1, V2 and V3 brought under the spotlight — a focus that also coincides with the much-loved 990’s 40th anniversary. Each shoe reflects both Santis’ and New Balance’s love of refinement and premium materials, with subtle colour palettes of grey and off-white and a combination of hairy suede and breathable mesh. The collection is said to be split into three distinct categories: “Elevated Legacy” offering alternative takes on classic colourways, “Uniform Staples” to elevate wardrobe staples and “Quickstrike” to push the envelope with new materials and colourways.
