STONE ISLAND'S 40TH ANNIVERSARY 82/22 COLLECTION AT END. LONDON

For a label to exist for forty years in the fashion world is an achievement worth celebrating in its own right, let alone one that has existed in a perpetual state of experimentation, evolving with each collection that passes in a relentless, ever-increasing manner. The label in question is Stone Island, one which has sat at the forefront of the technical outerwear vanguard since it was founded in 1982.

To mark the occasion, Stone Island is releasing an exclusive, anniversary-specific collection, comprised of an array of garments that represent 40 years of fine tuning, experimenting and pushing boundaries. At the centre of the collection is a direct nod to the brand’s original product, the Tela Stella cape, with a duo of anoraks made using a lightweight, paper-effect ripstop fabric — named Microfelt with Ripstop Cover — and a woolen cloth lining for warmth. The material appears on the collection's other anorak, too, featuring a PrimaLoft® Silver padding for warmth — a 100% recycled blend. Elsewhere, garments are detailed with the collection's bespoke graphic: cursive font that honours the four decade milestone.
