Wales Bonner explores her British-Jamaican heritage in her first collection with adidas, creating versions of footwear icons inspired by various ‘70s subcultures. The SL72 is the canvas of choice here, reflecting the sports meets leisure aesthetic that was so prominent in the era. It retains its performance build, teaming lightweight nylon with supportive suede, but gets a green and brown colourway that gives a nod to the sartorial undertones of the designer’s collections.
