Nike rips up the rule book with the N110 D/MS/X. Simultaneously slickly finished, irreverently deconstructed and artfully distressed, these sneakers are crafted from the brand’s new N110 Flyknit yarn and take a rich palette of black, scarlet and teal to create a post-apocalyptic upper that has been torn apart and rebuilt. Subtle singeing marks the toebox while the pale blue swoosh becomes functional, peering through transparent segments at the vamp and protruding from the throat, ultimately extending round the ankle to create additional support. A pistachio line at the top of the impactfully chunky midsole separates the dramatic deconstruction of the upper and slick futuristic lines of the outsole, with its translucent turquoise panelling. To finish, a tan leather strip travels from the toe to the tongue, creating a dramatic pull that is branded with the D/MS/X branding – a name that is likely to end up committed into the Nike Hall of Fame.
