OBEY delivers a message loud and clear. Always question authority, challenge the system, and embrace your own voice. The label was built upon the art, design and ideals of Shepard Fairey — an American artist and activist. Named after John Carpenter’s 1988 cult classic 'They Live', OBEY critiques media, government and commercialisation through the medium of design — all grounded in the countercultural worlds of punk rock and skateboarding. OBEY’s graphic-led tees, hoodies and knits are a visual nudge (or shove) to stay awake, stay aware, and always stay true to yourself.
