Now, the union branches out into clothing, with special attention given to Undercover designer Jun Takahashi’s philosophical focus on the dichotomy between chaos and balance. Take this tracksuit, for example – dipped in pure, jet black, both items feature a tough polyester shell and cotton-rich inserts. The top has a packable hood and a handy kangaroo pouch pocket which is branded with the words ‘CHAOS’ and ‘BALANCE’ in white, while the letters ‘C’ and ‘B’ repeat throughout. Both the top and the pants feature adjustable velcro straps so the fit can be altered to suit the wearer, providing a high-tech, slightly space-age finishing touch.
