Scavenging from the veteran brand’s archive, the team of designers protect its long legacy while adapting classic styles for today’s style-focussed sneaker wearers. They say you can’t improve on perfection, but Nike ISPA proves you can improvise with it – and where better to start than with a pair of React runners. Providing real-world, problem-solving footwear for everyone from athletes to city-workers, ISPA crafts the uppers of this pair from white, waterproof TPE material which takes on a translucent sheen, revealing black mesh beneath. Off-centre hiking-style lacing is flanked by branded taping and the entire shoe is peppered with electric orange accents for an extra buzz of interest. The chunky, textured React midsole is reappropriated and finished in black with contrasting muted blue rubber spots. This is a head-turning shoe, at the forefront of sneaker technology and fashion alike.
