Bootlegged luxury is Bandulu’s usual specialty — after all, the artist’s name means ‘fake’ in Jamaican Patois — but this team-up with Converse uses street artistry to elevate basketball icons. This Chuck Taylor ’70 features handsewn silk paint splashes all over its coffee canvas upper, mimicking a technique founder Pat Peltier developed in art school to breathe new life into stained clothing. Embroidery features on the iconic All Star patch, too, to further the upcycled aesthetic, while baby pink and polka dots add playful touch to the sole.
