Unsurprisingly, even though the embers of summer are still burning brightly, us lot here at END. HQ are looking toward the colder months and what heavyweight-weather-proof clobber we fancy ourselves in. Always at the top of everybody’s list is Nigel Cabourn – located a stonesthrow away from our stores on High Bridge Street – who’s archival, authentic collection sparks the imagination with visions of travelling the harshest seas and conquering the tallest of mountains.

For Autumn/Winter 2013, the collection is inspired by the hunting and fishing estates held by the British aristocracy from 1901 to 1952. The fabrics used have been part of British history for more than a hundred years, Harris Tweed and Ventile Cotton to name two which are steeped in history and are as effective as anything around today. As usual, collection staples are represented in the form of the Cameraman and Everest Parka, as well as the ever-popular Aircraft Jacket, again available in a myriad of hues.
