In 2005, Patrick Grant – with little money and no experience in the industry – sold his car and home in order to purchase Norton & Sons, a struggling London tailors. Under his stewardship, Norton & Sons began looking back on its heritage and focusing all of the company’s efforts on the creating of superior quality bespoke suiting, and those efforts have certainly paid off.

AW13 sees Norton & Sons begin yet another chapter in their fascinating history, starting a brand new collaboration with South Shields outerwear legends Barbour for their latest Beacon Heritage collection, presided over by Grant himself.

Combining the clean cuts and authoritarian silhouettes of Norton & Sons with the wealth of inspiration on offer in the Barbour archives, the first collection from this exciting new collaboration focuses on the artisanal workwear of the traditional fishing communities of the Northumbrian coast.

An incredibly exciting new partnership and what is shaping up to be an very impressive collection, shop the first release from the Barbour x Norton & Sons in our Barbour section now.
